Controlling employee exposure to airborne chemicals is a requirement of the COSHH Regulations.


HSE document EH40 /2005 'Workplace Exposure Limits' (as amended) gives limits for exposure to certain chemicals. Even non-chemically reactive dust can be harmful if a person is exposed to too high a concentration and EH40 specifies an exposure limit for ‘general’ dust.
